Yes! We are talking about the iconic tube mic preamp design whose sound permeated every track in the 1960s on a particularly famous street of London, as it was used in almost every step of the recording process, from mic preamplifier, line-receiving input amplifier, EQ section driver, fader gain-stage, output line drivers... you name it!
It also achieved legendary status when certain provocative long-haired musicians plugged their electric guitars directly into these preamps and created a distorted sound that can only be described as revolutionary.
But this legendary design is not just a myth from the 1960s, as its simple yet flexible functionalities have proven to be the secret sauce for many experienced contemporary producers and in almost any musical genre you can imagine (from pop to rock, alternative music, metal, hip hop, and even electronic music) due to its unique warmth and punch when tracking any instrument.
And as a unique Heritage Audio design feature, we have added a NO FEEDBACK gain position, which drastically boosts harmonic distortion to previously unavailable levels, turning the SILVERR 47 into a one of a kind shaping tool.
In order to nail the sound that defined an era, every channel of the SILVERR 47 employs a carefully sourced pair of tubes: a NOS 6AU6 pentode for the input stage and a JJ E88CC for the output, and custom made input and output LANG ELECTRONICS Inc. transformers designed by HERITAGE AUDIO.
