5-port Audio Video Bridging Switch w/ PoE

The PreSonus SW5E is a rugged AVB network switch, designed to connect digital audio devices over long distances using CAT5e or CAT6 Ethernet cable. The device provides Power over Ethernet (PoE) and allows for the routing of audio anywhere on the network with extremely low latency. The AVB protocol provides a high-precision clock that significantly reduces harmonic distortion and phasing, ensuring the audio remains clean and clear. PoE enables network cables to carry electrical power to compatible devices, delivering both network data, such as digital audio, and electrical power from a single cable. Four of the five ports on the SW5E provide PoE, with the fifth port being used for networking to additional switches to create a larger network. The heavy-duty metal enclosure is designed to withstand the rigors of on-the-road wear and tear and can be rack-mounted using an optional rack tray. The PreSonus SW5E ships with a standard IEC power cord.
