Variable-Pattern Valve Condenser Microphone

The Sontronics MERCURY is a variable-pattern valve condenser microphone built around a hand-selected, European-made 12AT7/ECC81 tube. Its polar pattern is fully sweepable from omnidirectional through cardioid to figure-of-eight, including the settings in between. This flexibility makes it suitable for vocals and spoken word, piano, guitar, woodwind, brass, strings, drum kits and percussion, as well as ensemble, overhead and room applications.

MERCURY combines a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response with a -10 dB pad and 75 Hz filter. Its equivalent noise level is below 14 dB A-weighted. This US version includes a 115/230 V SPS-2 power supply, so phantom power is not required.
