Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone

The Sontronics ORPHEUS is a multi-pattern condenser microphone that combines definition and clarity with flexible recording controls. Cardioid, omnidirectional and figure-of-eight patterns provide different pickup options, while a -10 dB cut, neutral setting and +10 dB boost add further flexibility. Its crisp sound makes it a useful choice for voiceover and vocals.

ORPHEUS is also recommended for acoustic guitar and other stringed instruments, piano, and drum overhead recording when used in pairs. It covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz, offers 30 mV/Pa sensitivity and has an equivalent noise level below 13 dB A-weighted. Connection is through a 3-pin XLR output, with 48 V phantom power required.
