Description:

The Sontronics APOLLO 2 uses two figure-of-eight ribbons in a Blumlein X-Y configuration to capture a detailed stereo image with a sense of depth. Its British engineering includes hand-wound transformers, while its sound is designed to bring out the detail of the performance. Recommended applications include grand piano, orchestra and choir in live or studio settings, as well as overhead and room recording.

APOLLO 2 offers a 20 Hz to 15 kHz frequency response, 24 mV/Pa sensitivity and a maximum SPL of 125 dB. A supplied cable connects its 6-pin output to two 3-pin connectors. The microphone requires 48 V phantom power, with a tolerance of plus or minus 4 V.
