The Sontronics DM-1S is a small-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone designed to capture the detail and character of snare drum and percussion. Developed over three years with top session drummers and engineers, it is specifically recommended for snare drum, djembe and tambourine.

Its compact body measures 91 x 22 x 22 mm and weighs 0.1 kg. A 30 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and 14 dB A-weighted equivalent noise level support detailed capture, while the switchable -10 dB pad allows a maximum SPL of 135 dB when engaged. DM-1S uses a 3-pin XLR connector and requires 48 V phantom power.
