Cardioid JFET Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone

The Sontronics ZETA is a fixed-cardioid large-diaphragm condenser microphone with high-sensitivity JFET circuitry designed to deliver a detailed, natural tone. Its low self-noise makes it suited to vocals, voiceover and quiet acoustic instruments. Hand-built in England, ZETA combines solid construction with consistent performance for recording sessions.

Recommended sources include acoustic guitar, piano, strings and woodwind, along with room miking, choral recordings, ambient capture and other soft or subtle sources. ZETA provides a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, 33 mV/Pa sensitivity and a 9 dB A-weighted equivalent noise level. It uses a 3-pin XLR output and requires 48 V phantom power.
