GAP based this 4-band EQ off of the classic 1081 module, starting with a comparable class-AB equalizer circuit, but without the lowpass and highpass filters. The MKIII employs some serious, no-nonsense vintage-style electronics, free from integrated circuits in its signal path when the insert connector is in use. You can get creative and combine the MKIII with GAP's separate Pre-73 preamp to replicate a full vintage 1081-style unit for a fraction of the cost. The MKIII is also incredibly versatile, making customizing your EQ preferences between bands a breeze with the switchable shelving and bell settings for Bass and Treble, as well as bell-type low and high MID frequency bands that each include switchable Hi Q settings. Your control range is +/-18dB, and the MKIII also provides an off mode for all four bands, allowing for maximum EQ customization of your tracks.
